  Dive Center :  FAQ's

Q: Do you provide pick-up from my Hotel?
A: You must provide your own transportation to the Dive Shop. We can provide transportation to and from the boat. If needed Central Taxi's phone number is 305 532 5555

Q: Were can I park ?
A: There is meter parking in front of the store for up to 4 hours. There is also a covered parking garage on 7th street between Washington and Collins Ave that charges $1 per hour or $15 per day. Beware of parking in the residential areas behind the shop. You can legally park there Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm excluding holidays. Any other time and you will be towed.

Q: Do I need a license to dive?
A: No. If you take our one day "Discover Scuba" class you can dive with one of our instructors after a brief pool session in the morning.

Q: I lost or forgot my dive license...can I still dive with you?
A: If you hold a PADI Certification Card we can verify it through the internet. If you have have another agencies license you will have to contact them and ask to have proof sent to us via fax. Our fax number is 305 531 0511
We can also replace PADI Certification Cards in the store.

Q: I have a non diver that wants to accompany me, is that OK?
A: Yes, the person can go along and snorkel or just relax on the boat on any trip we offer. The current per person snorkeling fee is charged.

Q: I have never dove in salt water before, do I need anything special?
A: We recommend your hire a guide for your first trip with us. There are some differences and a guide will also allow you to see so much more.

Q: Will there be sharks and do I need to be worried about them?
A: The bottom line is that we share the ocean with all of its inhabitants, including sharks. We do not often see them as they seem to be more afraid of us. Of the times that we do encounter sharks, everyone-including those that think that they are afraid of them are fascinated by them and at the end of the dive they have a whole new (positive) approach to these magnificent animals.
