Freediving
Class Description
Free diving is the practice of holding your breath while diving underwater without the use of breathing equipment, such a scuba tank. Free diving may be a hobby for some, a competitive sport for others and an inner journey for those willing to dive within.

Bea’s Bio
Bea grew up in Madrid dreaming of living by the water. In her 20s, she traveled to the USA, fell in love with the sea in Hawaii and she moved to Miami to become a SCUBA diving instructor as her hobby. With her Master in Holistic Health and Nutrition, she has created a unique form of teaching combining both, water and wellness.
Bea travels around the world in search for the most transparent water, it’s for her the means to connect and communicate with the Unknown. She feels it like a kiss, she disappears in it. Bea has lived, travelled and worked in the waters of Florida, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Costa Rica, the Pacific, Thailand, Morocco, Egypt, Andaman, and the Mediterranean.
Leaving behind her SCUBA equipment and all unnecessary baggage, now as certified SSI and PADI Freediving Instructor., she specializes in personal coaching using breath holding techniques with the goal of improving human relationships. She says “After all, we all breathe from the same Source”.
Bea has had the opportunity to train with world leading free divers and has coached the current Egyptian woman national record holder as well as other professional free divers from Kuwait, Cuba, Germany, India, Spain… Although she does not consider herself a lover of competitions, to better understand a competitor’s mind, Beatriz won three Gold medals in STATIC and Dynamic disciplines in the OPEN APNEA INDOOR Madrid 2016, she is also a bronze medal in STA in the Spain Championship APNEA INDOOR 2018.

Bea accompanies you on a magical experience, feeling supported by the water combined with the breath-hold is an invitation to become aware of the places in your body where stress, worry and fear have manifested as tension. The nervous system resets to its tranquil state. It is in complete relaxation where THE MIND RESTS, THE HEART TAKES OVER and the door to the Unknown opens. As you enter, the magic happens. All imprints from your life and your ancestors’ are there for you to revisit. The veils of fear, anger and grief have a chance to be felt, faced, integrated and dissolved.
Science is starting to catch up with the benefits of relaxation in all our systems, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, reproductive… In her sessions, Bea helps you feel the connection between all these systems as well as with your mind, spirit, body and soul. They are all connected into one: a human being,.
As you travel to your origin, you learn to feel lighter, TO BE ONLY BREATH.

STATIC APNEA AND FREE DIVING
Static apnea (STA) is a discipline in which a person holds their breath underwater for a length of time. For competitions, athletes lie face-down in the water holding their breath for as long as possible. Although it may seem as simple as lying face down in the water, STA is actually one of the more technical disciplines. The breathe-up is important in helping the diver to establish a state of relaxation and to ensure that they begin the hold with exactly the right amounts of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide in the blood. Complete physical and mental relaxation is necessary for a good static breath-hold. Personalized relaxation and meditation techniques are designed to meet your needs.

STATIC BREATH-HOLD SESSION
Static apnea is first learned on dryland and then experienced and improved in the water. The participant relaxes as much as possible not only to conserve oxygen but to overcome the urge to breathe. On land we start with stretching and warm up, followed by guided breathing to develop breath awareness. Different meditations combined with visualizations are applied for focus and concentration achievement. In the water, the experience involves intervals of guided relaxation and monitored breath holds while floating face up or down. These breathing sessions will help you achieve complete relaxation and mental clarity.
