PADI Open Water Diver Class – Family Special

Class Description

The Open Water class is a perfect for some quality family fun. Put down those devises and spend three days learning all the basics of scuba diving and get to make 4 open water dives. We offer awesome wreck and reef diving right off the coast of Miami on our two custom dive boats. Your scuba gear, materials, pool session, 4 open water dives transportation and your certification card are all included in this greatly discounted family package. I have young kids so I know how group activities can add up quick!

Here’s how it works:

Step 1:
Call the dive center to coordinate the schedule. We will then then post it on our class calendar for you to book it online.

Step 2:
Read the book, complete the chapter reviews and then watch the DVD together. We can ship these items to you or you can pick them up at our dive center. We also offer E Learning if you prefer to do the academic work on your computer or tablet.

Step 3:
Come do the pool session and the four Open Water training dives, it’s all too easy mate!

Here’s what our typical schedule is like but the times may change depending on what dates you pick:

Day 1:
At 7:00am* you will meet at the store to hand in your on line course completion form or quizzes from the book. Once these are verified, we will take you straight to the pool and go over all the skills that you will need to know before proceeding to the ocean. The pool session will go until about 2:00pm or until everyone is comfortable with the skills. If you do the E learning program, after the pool session you will do a brief quiz to verify it was you who took the on line class and then you are done for the day around 3pm. If you choose the book and DVD version, you will need to take 4 quizzes and then a final exam and your day will end around 5pm.

Day 2:
You will meet at Divers paradise at 8am for your first two open water dives. We do these dives on the beautiful reefs that lay right off the coast of Key Biscayne. This location is perfect for divers and snorkelers alike so feel free to invite you non- diver friends along with you on this day. Return time is approximately 2:00pm

Day 3:
On the third and final day, you meet at Divers Paradise at 8am to complete your final two open water dives off the coast of Miami Beach. You get to dive on one of the more than 70 shipwrecks that lay right off the coast of Miami. Upon returning (and passing) you will be issued a temporary certification card so you can start diving right away.  We process your PADI certification card online so you will get you temporary card right away. Your permanent license will arrive in as little as 7 days and it can be sent anywhere in the world.  You will now also be qualified to take the PADI Advanced class as well numerous specialty classes like Wreck Diver and Underwater Photographer.  All students that graduate will receive a $50 credit towards the next class if taken within 30 days.
